Not veterinary or legal advice
Trip-Ready Dog provides checklists and general information to help dog owners plan. It isn’t a substitute for advice from your veterinarian, an attorney, your airline, or official travel authorities, whose rules change. When your dog’s health is in question, call your vet or a 24-hour emergency vet.
No endorsements, no guarantees
We don’t screen, employ, recommend or endorse any pet sitter, boarding facility, app or service. Our questions and red flags help you evaluate people yourself; they can’t tell you whether any particular person or business is safe, and following them doesn’t guarantee any outcome. You’re responsible for who you choose and how your dog is cared for.
Owner stories
The problems we describe, such as missed visits, lost dogs and unplugged cameras, are patterns drawn from owners’ public accounts. They’re examples of what can go wrong, not claims about any specific company or person.
Independence
We don’t accept sponsorship or referral money from pet-sitting apps, sitter marketplaces, or boarding companies.
Affiliate links
Some guides may link to products we think are useful, such as pet cameras or GPS collars. If you buy through those links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend things we’d use for our own dog, and affiliate relationships never change what our checklists tell you to do.
Templates
Our agreements and authorization forms are templates, not legal documents drafted for your situation, and they may not be enforceable where you live. Many vet clinics have their own forms; use theirs when offered. If the legal effect matters to you, have a licensed attorney review it.
