Terms of Use

Last updated November 2026

These terms apply to tripreadydog.com, our emails, and our free and paid downloads (together, “Trip-Ready Dog”). By using any of them, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

1. General information only

Everything we publish, including guides, checklists, emails, templates and printables, is general information to help you plan. It is not veterinary, medical, legal, insurance or other professional advice, and it doesn’t create any professional relationship between you and us. Always follow the advice of your veterinarian and any applicable laws, airline rules and official travel requirements.

In an emergency, contact your veterinarian, the nearest 24-hour emergency vet, or an animal poison control line right away. Don’t rely on our materials to decide whether your dog needs care.

2. We don’t screen or endorse caregivers

Trip-Ready Dog does not provide, screen, employ, background-check, recommend or endorse any pet sitter, boarding facility, kennel, app or service. Our materials suggest questions to ask and things to look for; they cannot tell you whether any particular person or business is safe. You are solely responsible for choosing who cares for your dog and for every decision you make about your dog’s care.

3. No guarantee of outcome

Dogs, people and situations are unpredictable. Using our checklists can help you prepare, but it does not guarantee that your dog will be safe, healthy or well cared for, or that any problem will be prevented. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any sitter, facility, veterinarian or other third party.

4. Templates and forms

Our care agreements, authorization forms and similar documents are general templates, not legal documents prepared for your situation. They may not be enforceable or appropriate where you live, and laws vary by state. Clinics and service providers may require their own forms. If the legal effect of a document matters to you, have it reviewed by a licensed attorney.

5. Accuracy

We try to keep our information accurate, but rules, phone numbers, fees and recommendations change. Our materials may contain errors or be out of date. Verify anything important, especially emergency numbers and travel requirements, with the source before you rely on it.

6. Other websites and products

We may link to other websites and products, sometimes through affiliate links (see our Disclosures). We don’t control those sites or products and aren’t responsible for their content, policies or performance.

7. Digital products

Our downloads are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may print and share copies with the people caring for your own dog, but you may not resell, redistribute or republish them. Because our products are instant digital downloads, all sales are final except where the law requires otherwise. If a file doesn’t work or you have a problem with a purchase, email us and we’ll work with you to make it right.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Trip-Ready Dog and all of its content and products are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trip-Ready Dog and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury to or loss of any animal, veterinary costs, property damage or emotional distress, arising from or related to your use of our website, emails, materials or products, or from any decision you make based on them. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product the claim relates to in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing. Some places don’t allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you.

10. Your responsibility

You agree to use our materials responsibly and lawfully, and to hold Trip-Ready Dog and its owner harmless from claims arising out of your use of them, your choice of caregivers, or your violation of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Hawaii, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept the changes. Questions? Email hello@tripreadydog.com.
